How to Style a Tiered Tray for Fall (and Beyond)

Tiered trays are an easy way to build a small, styled vignette on a counter, console table, or shelf — and fall is one of the easiest seasons to fill one, since warm colors and natural textures do most of the work for you.

Start With a Scent

A small bowl filler like the Anyhearth Pumpkin Spice Potpourri (2 cup size) fits neatly on a tray's bottom tier and does double duty as both color and fragrance.

Add Height With a Sign

A small block sign propped on the top tier gives the arrangement some vertical interest and a little personality.

Round It Out

Tuck in a carved wood ball or two to fill gaps — they read as neutral texture next to the potpourri's color.

Keep the whole thing to 3–4 items; a tiered tray looks curated when it has room to breathe, not when every inch is covered. Browse more pieces in potpourri and box signs.
