Local craftsmen have been hand pouring and dipping candles the old fashioned way for over 40 years, and have since expanded their line to include potpourri made with high quality botanicals to match their jar scents.
The Old Candle Barn started out in John and Fannie Beiler's basement during the late 1960's. The candle making business expanded so rapidly they had to move the operation three times before settling in Intercourse where the current building consists of approximately 28,000 sq. feet. How to Use
Bowl filler & potpourri: Display in an open bowl, basket, or vase. Stir weekly to release trapped fragrance. Refresh with a few drops of matching essential oil when scent fades.
Simmer pot blends: Add a generous handful to 2–3 cups of gently simmering water over medium-low heat. Top up with water as needed. Never leave unattended.
Wax melts: Place 1–2 cubes in a wax warmer. Reheat the same wax until the fragrance is spent, then replace. Always use with an approved electric or tea-light warmer.
